In the webinar we discussed the importance of a qualification for post-installed rebar system to be compatible to be used with cast-in bars. The qualification discussed was ETA 330087 – Systems for post-installed rebar connections with mortar. This EAD stipulates a range of tests which allow a system to be qualified to be designed specifically using EN 1992-1-1 ie. Eurocode 2 (See our on-demand webinar "Designing Post-installed Rebar as a Cast-in Bar").

Therefore, to use a system qualified as per EAD 330087, one needs to also design the lap length or anchorage length as per the guidelines described in Eurocode 2. Our upcoming webinar will provide some examples comparing NZS3101 and Eurocoode 2 through some worked examples.
